
Indian Naan Bread
Indian Naan Bread is a tasty flat bread that
you can make at home. This following Naan recipe
will make Naan lovers think they’ve achieved
Nirvana.
Ingredients
1-lb White Flour
1-oz Dried Yeast
1-tsp Nigella Seed
6-tbsp Plain Yogurt
2-tbsp Butter, melted
1-tsp Salt
1-tsp Sugar
¾-cup Warm Water
Ghee to coat
Directions
Dissolve the sugar into the warm water
Add the yeast
Sift salt with flour in a separate bowl
Add the Nigella Seeds
Make a well in the center and add yogurt, ghee
and yeast mixture
Knead until it forms and elastic dough
Shape the dough into a ball
Coat a separate bowl with ghee and roll the
dough in it until it’s fully coated
Shake off excess oil and cover the dough with
a small, damp towel
After approximately 2 ½ hours the dough should
have doubled bulk
Knead the dough and divide into around 6 equal
portions, then flatten them
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F and bake for 10
minutes
Brush with ghee or butter and serve
