Ingredients
500g whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3/4 pints of buttermilk
Directions
Mix the flour, baking soda and salt together
in a large bowl
Add enough buttermilk to make the dough soft
Lightly knead the dough
Shape the dough into a large round
Place the dough on a floured baking sheet
Cut a deep cross into the top of the mound
Bake at 400 degrees F for 40 minutes, or until
the bottom of the loaf sounds hollow when it
is tapped
